We have had feedback from members and received 210 suggestions. The Task Team, Hennie Theron (Kibo), Paul Burger (Estate Manager) and Joel Wiesner (Previous Charman of the Board) have been putting together a matrix of all the suggestions received, a 23 page document. The Task Team has started to work through each suggestion/recommendation and are putting together a document that will be put to the Board of Directors for approval.
The process is very cumbersome in the sense that we are reading through each member’s suggestions and in some cases we have to call for Legal opinion before we can put together a recommendation to the Board members. We have now during 4 sessions worked through 24 suggestions and have completed 11.4% of the total of 210. The new Companies Act that came into effect on the 1 May 2011 stipulates that the Estate Rules of Conduct must from now on be incorporated into the Articles of Association and Statutes and must be submitted to the City of Tshwane and South African Revenue Services before we can put it to the Registrar of Companies to enable them to do a new registration for the Amberfield Manor Estate Home Owners Association.
A Transitional period of two years have been allowed for this process. The Task Team however feels that we should finish this operation as soon as possible and every effort will be made in the next few weeks to complete this operation to enable them to present it to the Board of Directors for acceptance and only thereafter prepare our documents for submission to the City Council and SARS for approval and then submission to the Registrar of Companies.
